Welcome to the beautiful historic city of Edinburgh! Upon arrival, your driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free to begin exploring the charming city centre, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, or simply relax in the comfort of your room.
After breakfast, set out to discover Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh. Together with your guide, enjoy a 4-hour walking tour of the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site rich in culture and history. Stroll along the famous Royal Mile, which links two royal residences — Edinburgh Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
Before entering Edinburgh Castle, your guide will share fascinating insights into its past. You then explore the castle independently*, where highlights include the Honours of Scotland (Crown Jewels), the 15th-century cannon Mons Meg, and the One O’Clock Gun.
Your guided tour concludes before the castle visit. Afterwards, you may continue exploring the city at your own pace or return to your hotel.

Following the tour, you may wish to visit highlights such as the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum or the Burrell Collection. Afterwards, enjoy some free time to explore at your own pace before returning to Edinburgh by train.

Prepare for a Highlands adventure aboard a historic steam train. After breakfast, walk to Inverness station to board your train to Aviemore, one of the gateways to the Highlands. From here, step back in time as you travel through the breathtaking Cairngorms National Park. This vast landscape is home to Britain’s highest mountain range, ancient forests, and remarkable wildlife including red squirrels, reindeer, and ospreys.
After completing the scenic round-trip, enjoy some free time to explore the charming town of Aviemore before returning by train to Inverness.
